Biography

George Kataliakos graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece with a Law degree and holds a Master from the Open University of Greece. He was admitted to the Greek (Athens) Bar in 2008. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court and Council of State in Greece. He is also an accredited mediator at the Hellenic Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights since 2014.

George Kataliakos is an expert in administrative, civil and corporate law, whereas his practice focuses mainly on litigation, negotiation, arbitration and mediation. He has extensive experience in handling complex legal cases touching upon civil and commercial aspects of IP law. He has litigated for foreign and local businesses in patent infringement cases, counterfeit and unfair practices in court. He has supported foreign investors in the negotiation, drafting, execution and litigation matters of public contracts with the Greek state. He has successfully closed several cases with an extrajudicial settlement.

In addition to his career as a practicing attorney-at-law, he is a recognized expert in pharmaceutical, health and bioethics law, appointed as a board member of the Hellenic National Transplant Organization (Ε.Ο.Μ). He has various publications (articles and oral interventions in conferences) in this field.
